False ceiling cost per sq ft in 2026
Gypsum board on GI framing (Saint-Gobain Gyproc / USG) is the standard at ₹100–140 per sq ft installed; POP is ₹85–120, PVC panels ₹70–100, grid ceilings for offices ₹85–110, wooden or louvre ceilings ₹400–600. Two-level designs with a cove add about 25%, multi-level designer ceilings 50%. Cove and profile LED channels are ₹25–40 per sq ft extra, putty and paint ₹18–25, COB lights ₹500–900 each installed.

Living + 2 bedrooms, 450 sq ft, two-level gypsum with cove, lights and paint: 450 × ₹115 × 1.25 + 450 × ₹32 + 450 × ₹22 + 12 lights × ₹650 ≈ ₹1.0–1.1 lakh, one to two weeks.
